Ministry of Environment Honors “Outstanding Resource Circulation Enterprises”**
In response to the global trend toward net-zero transitions and the rise of the circular economy, Taiwanese enterprises are taking proactive steps to demonstrate their commitment to sustainability. Today (31st), the Resource Circulation Administration of the Ministry of Environment held the 8th Outstanding Resource Circulation Enterprises Award Ceremony, where Director-General Lai Ying-ying presented awards to 28 companies that have demonstrated excellence in resource circulation. Through concrete actions to achieve “zero waste through resource circulation,” these enterprises showcase the strong determination and innovative energy of Taiwan’s industries on their path toward sustainability.
The Administration noted that the “Outstanding Resource Circulation Enterprises Selection” has now entered its eighth year, with over 100 participating companies to date, successfully establishing numerous role models in the circular economy. Past awardees—from recycled construction materials and circular packaging to waste-to-resource technologies—have all demonstrated the innovative potential and green competitiveness of Taiwan’s industrial supply chain.
This year’s selection was divided into three categories:
the Source Management Category, focusing on waste reduction at the source and green design,
the Innovation and Application Category, highlighting new circular value created through innovative technologies and business models, and
the Resource Circulation Category, emphasizing the use of recycled materials and waste-to-resource initiatives.
After a rigorous evaluation process, 28 companies were selected as winners, including 15 receiving the Gold Award and 13 receiving the Silver Award. These enterprises achieved sustainability outcomes through innovative R&D, circular manufacturing processes, and cross-sector collaboration, injecting new momentum into the circular economy across industries.
The Administration further explained that it will continue to promote technological exchange and institutional innovation through policy guidance and collaboration among government, industry, and academia. It also plans to advance amendments to the Resource Circulation Promotion Act to establish a localized circular ecosystem, build a green Taiwan brand, and integrate key and strategic resources into a national team. These efforts aim to drive industrial innovation and achieve sustainable prosperity. The Administration calls on all sectors to support the revision of the Resource Circulation Promotion Act.
